Sebastian Stan Explains Why Working In Avengers: Infinity War Was A Challenge

Actor Sebastian Stan recently spoke about the challenges that he faced while working on Marvel’s ambitious project, Avengers: Infinity War at the recently held Rhode Island Comic Con.

Directed by brothers Joe and Anthony Russo, Avengers: Infinity War is one of the most ambitious projects of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). The film brings an end to an interesting narrative told through many multiple movies in the past ten years.

Stan explained the logistical challenges of the MCU studios to arrange the schedules of all actors considering the film had a huge star cast. Besides, he pointed out that the entire film making process was rigorous and confusing at times.
Speaking about the challenges that the cast of the Avengers: Infinity War had to face during the production, Sebastian Stan said:

“It’s not something you always deal with. I feel like you always kind of have a script. But I guess, what I would say is, because we’ve done these characters for a bit now, there’s a little bit of a telepathic kind of knowledge between us and the writers. And you kind of can sometimes guess where they’re going to take it, a little bit.

For example, this one was really hard, because we keep going in and out. I go back there for a week, and then I leave for a month. And then I go back there for a few more days. So it’s a little bit out of sync. But it still hopefully adds up in the end.”

We must also keep in mind here that Avengers: Infinity war (Avengers 3) and the yet untitled sequel, Avengers 4 were filmed back-to-back thereby resulting in more than a year spent in principal photography doing both films. One can only imagine how tedious it must have been for the Marvl team to bring all the actors together whenever required. Apart from the Avengers, the MCU also had to focus on the filming and post-production work of their other projects – Ant-Man and The Wasp, Black Panther, Guardians of the Galaxy, Spider-Man: Homecoming and Thor: Ragnarok (Thor 3 has received rave reviews from critics already).

The trailer for Avengers: Infinity War is expected to release before the end of the year. The film will hit the theaters on May 4, 2018, while Avengers 4 movie is due to release on May 3, 2019.
