Supergirl Season 3: Bollywood Actress Amy Jackson To Play Saturn Girl

Supergirl Season 3 premieres this fall on The CW. Melissa Benoist (Supergirl/ Kara Danvers), Mehcad Brooks (Guardian) and David Harewood (Martian Manhunter) will reprise their roles for more adventure and action. Meanwhile, the series will introduce some new DC Universe characters.

According to Screenrant, the showrunners have cast a new superhero known as Saturn Girl. The report reveals that British-born Bollywood actress Amy Jackson will play the role of the recurring character and will make her first appearance in Supergirl Season 3.

DC fans will also remember Saturn Girl as Imra Ardeen, who will be assisting Supergirl in battling the villains. Meanwhile, the official description describes Saturn Girl as a “kind and strong-willed hero.” She happens to be one of the founding members of Legion of Super-Heroes.

“Saturn Girl, aka Imra Ardeen, is a kind, smart, and strong-willed hero who uses her telekinetic ability to help those in need.  She was born on Titan, one of Saturn’s moons, and arrives on Earth to help Supergirl battle one of her biggest threats,” reads Saturn Girl’s official description as on the above-mentioned website.

The 25-year-old model-turned-actress is known for her work in Bollywood movies. She is one of the prominent heroines in the industry. Jackson will soon be seen in an English movie titled “Boogie Man.”

Fans must note that Saturn Girl is not only the new character being introduced in Supergirl Season 3. There are a number of new faces that have been cast this season. It includes Odette Annable as Reign, Carlos Bernard as Maggie’s father, Chad Lowe as Thomas Coville, Olivia Nikkanen as the younger self of Alex, Izabela Vidovic as a younger version of Kara, Erica Durance as the new Alura, Adrian Pasdar as Malcolm Edge and more.

Supergirl Season 3 premieres Oct. 9 at 8:00 pm on The CW. More spoilers and updates are expected soon.
