It seems legendary actor Al Pacino is among those who loved Gal Gadot’s performance in and as Wonder Woman in Warner Bros. 2017 released DC film.
Back in March, when Pacino appeared as a guest on the Maltin on Movies podcast, he was asked which modern acting talents impress him.
“Yeah, there’s quite a few people,” Pacino answered, according to Nerdist.
The Academy Award-winning actor listed some of his obvious choices including Leonardo DiCaprio and James Franco.
“I mean, the more obvious ones like Leo DiCaprio and James Franco, oh, and this new kid, [Timothée] Chalamet, he’s just a beautiful actor. My god, he’s gonna really do some stuff.”
Surprisingly, he also singled out Wonder Woman star Gal Gadot, saying she’s got what it takes to be a good actor.
“And the girls too, all over the place,” Pacino said. “You just can’t believe it how good they are. You see that girl in Wonder Woman. Whoa! Sometimes I’m just home and there’s Wonder Woman, in the middle, wherever. I don’t care. I’ll look at it five minutes a day just to watch what she does. She is something!”
When asked about when he plans to foray into superhero genre movies, the 78-year-old actor said it “may be a little late, I think.”
The praise coming from someone like Al Pacino, who is considered as one of the greatest actors of all-time, is itself a big compliment for Gal Gadot.
It may be all praise at present, but looking back at Gadot’s career, it wasn’t all glamour for someone who was about to quit her acting career but was stopped from making that decision thanks to director Zack Snyder.
The actress is currently busy filming Wonder Woman sequel titled Wonder Woman 1984 in Washington D.C. Rumor has it that Gal Gadot will be making a surprise appearance at the San Diego Comic-Con 2018 event which runs from July 19 through July 22.
Some of the actors who are already confirmed to feature in the upcoming film include Chris Pine as Steve Trevor, Kristen Wiig as the main antagonist, Cheetah and actor Pedro Pascal who is rumored to play a god in disguise.
A lot of photos and video clips from Wonder Woman 2 sets have already surfaced online offering fans a glimpse of the Amazonian Princess in action.
The Patty Jenkins-directed film Wonder Woman 1984 is set to debut in theatres on November 1, 2019.
