Actor Erza Miller Has Met ‘The Flash’ Movie Duo Directors

Information about Warner Bros. and DC Films’ The Flash movie is very scarce at this point of time. However, thanks to actor Ezra Miller, who portrayed the character of Barry Allen/The Flash in Suicide Squad and Justice League, we are now at least sure that the highly awaited film is pretty much alive. The actor confirmed in an interview that he recently had a meeting with directors John Francis Daley and Jonathan Goldstein who have been roped in by Warner Bros.’ to helm the standalone Flash movie.

While addressing the audiences at Wizard World Comic Con this past weekend, a fan asked Miller if he’d met the directors of The Flash movie. The actor replied that he recently had a meeting with the project’s latest directors.

Yeah, I did. I met them,” Miller told fans. “I met them recently. They’re really, really, really cool guys. I really like their work a lot. I think they’re really great.”

Erza didn’t mention anything about when the film’s production and filming will begin. Previous reports indicated The Flash might begin filming this summer. It is also reported that Warner Bros. has lined up The Flash and Batgirl after Wonder Woman 2 in the production list.

The Flash movie was first announced back in 2014 with Miller starring. After going into the hands of several directors including Seth Grahame-Smith and Rick Famuyiwa, the Scarlet Speedster’s solo movie is finally being helmed by Spider-Man: Homecoming writers Jonathan Goldstein and John Francis Daley.

Notably, the title of the standalone project is still under wraps. It came to light last month that movie may not be titled Flashpoint. So, the question about the film’s title as well as the storyline still remains unanswered.

The star cast of The Flash solo film is expected to include Ezra Miller as Barry Allen, Kiersey Clemons as Iris West, Ray Fisher as Cyborg and Billy Crudup as Henry Allena.

The Flash is currently set to premiere in theaters in 2020.
