Earlier this week, it was revealed that Shazam! finally began production in Toronto. The news revealed by direct David F. Sandberg himself on Twitter. Today, his wife had another announcement to make for the DCEU fans.
Actress Lotta Losten has confirmed that she has a role to play in Shazam!. The announcement was made on her official Twitter account and from the looks of it, she seems to have been sitting on the news for quite some time now.
Losten hasn’t revealed the character she gets to play in the DC film. But the picture reveals that she is already working beside the director/husband on set. Fans can check out the photo below.
Some fans may remember her from Annabelle: Creation and Lights Out. Both films were directed by David F. Sandberg. She has also worked alongside the director on his past short film projects such as Closet Space and Attic Panic.
It is possible that her role could be of some significance since the actress decided not to reveal any details about her character. It will be interesting to know when the announcement is made officially.
Shazam! stars Zachary Levi in the title role of the grown-up version of the superhero. Young actor Asher Angel will play the other identity as Billy Batson. The protagonist will be going up against the supervillain known as Doctor Sivana, a character that will be played by Mark Strong.
There have also been rumors that Henry Cavill’s Man of Steel will make an appearance in Shazam!. But it still remains unconfirmed. Fans are also keenly expecting an update since a sequel announcement for Superman continues to be delayed.
