Ant-Man And The Wasp Likely To Feature Marvel Comics Villain Egghead

As Marvel Studio’s Ant-Man and the Wasp is inching closer to its release date, new and interesting details about the film have started making rounds on the internet.

The full casting list for the upcoming film posted by Twitter user @StitchKingdom gave fans an idea of all the characters and cameos that will appear in the film. It also mentioned the name of the actors who are going to portray the characters in Ant-Man and the Wasp.

Interestingly, the casting list also mentioned the inclusion of the comic book character Elihas Starr in the upcoming film. Also known as Egghead, Elihas Starr serves as a mad genius who is a villain to Ant-Man. The character first appeared in the 1960s and is obsessed with understanding Hank Pym’s technology and advancements. Now, with Michael Cerveris appearing on the list as Elihas Starr, it’s likely that Egghead will show up in the film as well alongside Hannah John-Kamen’s Ava/ Ghost.

The listing features a slew of young characters suggesting that Ant-Man and the Wasp will have quite a lot of flashback sequences. Dax Griffin will reprise his role as the younger version of Michael Douglas’ Hank Pym, Hayley Lovitt will feature as the young Janet Van Dyne/Wasp (Michelle Pfieffer). Langston Fishburne will play the younger version of his father Lawrence Fishburne’s Bill Foster/Goliath. Madeleine McGraw will play a young Hope Van Dyne/Wasp (Evangeline Lilly), and Preacher’s RaeLynn Bratten will play a younger version of the villain Ghost.

You can check out the entire list below.

Directed by Peyton Reed, Ant-Man and the Wasp will see Hope accompany Scott in his mission to rescue Hank’s wife and Hope’s mother Janet van Dyne (Michelle Pfeiffer) aka the original Wasp from the Quantum Realm. The film is set between the events of Captain America: Civil War and Avengers: Infinity War. It is reported that the Marvel sequel film will have a total run time of 118 minutes, one minute longer than the 2015 original.

Ant-Man and the Wasp will premiere in theaters on July 6, 2018.
