With Avengers: Infinity War releasing this week, Marvel Studios has pumped up promotions for its upcoming film, Ant-Man & the Wasp. A new promo poster featuring the two superheroes Scott Lang a.k.a. Ant-Man (Paul Rudd) and Hope Van Dyne a.k.a. Wasp (Evangeline Lilly) was spotted at this year’s CinemaCon 2018 event, Las Vegas.
Fandango managing editor Erik Davis took to Twitter to share the picture of the new Ant-Man & the Wasp poster. The poster shows the two bug-sized superheroes shrink and grow from one size to another. You can check out the poster below.
In addition, Marvel also showed off a new Ant-Man & The Wasp trailer during Disney’s big presentation at CinemaCon 2018. The trailer mainly focuses on the partnership and chemistry between the two protagonists. The humor element is prominent in the new footage.
In the middle of an action sequence, when Ant-Man advises The Wasp to “go low”, so that he can “go high,” she replies, “I have wings. Why would I go low?”
There’s another light-hearted moment in the trailer when Ant-Man’s daughter Cassie suggests him to hire a sidekick. Newcomers Laurence Fishburne and Walton Goggins were also featured in the new trailer. The CinemaCon 2018 attendees also got a glimpse of the film’s antagonist Ghost in action.
It is expected that Disney and Marvel will officially release the new Ant-Man & the Wasp trailer very soon. It might even be dropped this week to air theatrically along with Avengers: Infinity War, which hits theatres on Friday.
Ant-Man & the Wasp is directed by Peyton Reed. The film also stars Michael Pena, Judy Greer, Randall Park, David Dastmalchian, Hannah John-Kamen, Laurence Fishburne, Walton Goggins, and Michelle Pfeiffer.
Ant-Man & The Wasp will hit the theaters on July 6, 2018.
