After a long wait, fans were treated to the first Aquaman trailer which was screened at SDCC in Hall H and was also almost immediately released for the worldwide audience. On first looks, it was clear that director James Wan had delivered what he promised to fans.
Just recently, Warner Bros. shared some hi-res stills from the movie. Fans must note that these images aren’t exactly new as stated in the headline. The stills are shots of scenes that appeared in the first Aquaman trailer.
Three stills are shots of Atlantis featuring the great white sharks with armors, Arthur Curry in armor and Orm in armor which seems to be a shot from the gladiator fight scene. The visuals are indeed stunning and offer a glimpse of the beautiful underwater world. Though the trailer offered some good shots of Atlantis, fans must still view them as a ‘work in progress’.
There’s also a still of Mera which seems to be a shot from the action sequence that takes place in the surface world involving Atlantian soldiers and Black Manta. And another still shows Arthur Curry from inside the submarine. Fans can check out all the images below.
In other related news, Discussing Film is claiming to have uncovered the post-credits scene from Aquaman which seems to set up for potential sequels. Since its clearly filled with potential spoilers, fans interested in reading it can head over to their website.
Aquaman hits theatres on December 21st. The DC film will face competition from several movies such as Bumblebee, Mary Popkins Returns, Alita: Battle Angels.
Warner Bros. will likely release more hi-res stills from the trailer as promotions are expected to ramp up with its release nearing in. Fans interested in checking them out can subscribe to our push notifications or newsletter.
