The recently released Justice League trailer #1 gave us a good look at Amber Heard as Mera. The actress’s appearance in the suit left fans awestruck. Although the trailer gave us just a glimpse of her body armor, it was enough to stop discussion over concerns of the suit’s fitting.
Prior to the trailer’s release, fans have been getting a good dose of Amber heard training for her role as Mera in Aquaman. Recently, the actress decided to drop a new photo, giving fans another update on her training.
Earlier we got to see Heard throw some fine punches during her training (video embedded below). In the recent photo, it looks like the actress is beginning to learn using weapons such as Katana.
The pictures shows Heard posing with a Samurai Sword, receiving instructions from her trainer Wushu. While we don’t know if Mera would get hold of a Samurai Sword in Aquaman, this photo certainly hypes her short screen time appearance in Justice League.
In DC Comics, Mera is known as the queen of Atlantis and is married to Aquaman. The character is to debut by Heard in the upcoming live action film Justice League. The movie releases on November 17th, 2017.
Aquaman is currently in production and being directed by James Wan. Furthermore, the movie’s release date was pushed to release on December 21st, 2018.
