It looks like fans can expect a possible Aquaman teaser to roll soon as director James Wan along with the film’s cast members have been confirmed to make an appearance at the CinemaCon 2018 event that is scheduled to take place starting April 23, 2018, at Caesars Palace, Las Vegas.
The news comes from Twitter user Aquaman Shrine who has been following all events related to the DC film. Fans can check out the tweet below.
The solo DC film, which is slated to release sometime later this year, recently underwent reshoots and additional photography. Notably, reshoots are quite common with big Hollywood films to add scenes or elements based on test screening results. Aquaman has reportedly been tested very well among audiences who praised the film’s action-packed emotional story.
It is rumored that Warner Bros. and DC films will release the first trailer for Aquaman in Hall H at the San Diego Comic-Con 2018 event. The Hall H is where major film studios bring out exclusive footage and trailers of their upcoming films. The San Diego Comic-Con 2018 event will begin on Thursday, July 19, 2018, and it will run until Sunday, July 22, 2018.
Marvel Studio’s boss Kevin Feige has already confirmed that the film studio won’t be present at the Hall H panel of SDCC 2018 this year. And As Marvel Studios’ presence at SDCC will only be about MCU’s 10th-anniversary celebration, fans shouldn’t except any new Avengers 4 teaser to pop up at the Hall H panel.
Marvel’s absence from Hall H implies that all eyes this year will be on Aquaman which is Warner Bros. and DC Films’ solo movie lined up for the year. Furthermore, fans will also be expecting other announcements involving the DCEU.
Actor Jason Momoa, who is portraying the titular character in Aquaman, recently posted a video on his Instagram account in which he can be seen boarding a plane with the film’s director Wan to begin the long-awaited press tour for Aquaman. Aquaman is scheduled to debut in theaters on December 21, 2018.
