Aquaman: Director James Wan Shares Day One Photo From Production Set

Aquaman has finally begun its production in Australia. The news comes from the director of the film, James Wan who also tweeted a photo from the production set.

The image reveals the film crew possibly shooting inside a submarine. The clapperboard can also be seen in the photo which indicates its Day 1 of filming. Fans can check out the tweet below.

Aquaman’s logo is also printed on the clapperboard with the title Ahab to its left. “Months of intensive prep have led to this. Here we go,” wrote Wan.

DC Film boss Geoff Johns is as excited as the fans are going by his recent tweet. The comic book writer retweeted the photo with a single word “YES”. The tweet is embedded below.

In an earlier report, it was confirmed that Aquaman would begin filming this week. Furthermore, the DC project has also opened up over 600 job opportunities to the people in Australia.

Earlier, Wan spent months hunting locations in Australia. The Director shared photos of the places he visited on his official Instagram account-giving fans a glimpse of the aesthetic Aqua spots. Currently, The film crew is expected to carry on their production in the country for the next six months.

Aquaman releases on December 21st, 2018. Jason Momoa plays as the superhero a.k.a Arthur Curry. Amber Heard as Mera, Patrick Wilson as brother Orm and Yahya Abdul-Mateen II as Black Manta.

Momoa and Heard have also played their DC character role in the upcoming Justice League. The DC film releases on November 17th this year.
