Warner Bros. and Dc Films’ Aquaman is currently going through early screenings ahead of its official release scheduled for next month. The upcoming film will reportedly feature a mid-credits scene that will offer some insight into what’s next in line in the DC Films franchise.
According to a report coming from Rereleasenews.com, citing a source who got an opportunity to watch Aquaman, the film will feature a mid-credits scene that will show up at the end of the film. However, it doesn’t mean the film won’t have a post-credit scene. As post-credit scenes are not shown during early screenings, it remains unconfirmed whether or not the upcoming film will feature one.
The report also mentions the source confirming the film’s runtime span for around 140 minutes, which is just in line with the reported runtime of 143 minutes.
Last week, a slew of Aquaman first reactions from various fan screening events came pouring in on Twitter. Now, The Hollywood Reporter’s deputy film editor Tatiana Siegel has described her experience of watching Aquaman.
“Just saw AQUAMAN, which is a whole lot of fun. Like an afternoon at an aquarium crossed with an MMA match. In a good way”, Siegel said about the upcoming film, reported ComicBook.com.
In related news, WB has released a new Aquaman BTS featurette that contains some behind-the-scenes footage from the upcoming DC movie as well as interviews of director James Wan, Jason Momoa (Arthur Curry), Amber Heard (Mera) and more. The video offers a detailed glimpse into the making of the underwater adventure.
“For me, the most important thing is the story I’m telling,” Wan says in the featurette. “Whether it’s a scary set piece or a dramatic moment, it all comes down to the characters and if you care about them.” You can check out the BTS featurette below.
Aquaman is set to arrive on the shores on December 20th.
