‘Aquaman’: London Red Carpet Premiere Will Be Held In End Of November

It looks like Warner Bros. Pictures is quite confident in bringing its upcoming DC film Aquaman earlier to critics and fans than expected.

A new report confirms that Aquaman movie will have its London red carpet premiere on Monday, November 26, 2018, at Cineworld and North Terrace. The events is going to take place almost 17 days before the film hits theaters in the United Kingdom and Ireland on December 14, 2018.

Aquaman will be rolled out in China on December 7, 2018. And in Brazil and Russia on December 13, 2018, before getting released in the United States and other regions on December 21, 2018. From the looks of it, it seems like the embargo lift for early social media reactions and reviews will be up earlier than fans’ expected. And earlier than the dates that were set for past DC films.

In other news, A new extended TV spot for Aquaman offers some brand new footage from the film including some high-octane action scenes. The TV spot shows Jason Momoa’s Arthur Curry and Amber Heard’s Mera confronted by the DC Comics supervillain Black Manta, played by Yahya Abdul-Mateen II. There are a few more glimpses of new scenes from the movie. You can check out the TV spot below.

Directed by James Wan, Aquaman follows the story of Arthur Curry who goes on a quest to know about his actual identity and to find out why the sea world always fascinates him. The film will see the half-human, half-Atlantean Arthur battling with his half-brother King Orm (Patrick Wilson) for the throne of Atlantis.

While the movie is still a month away from release, the leading man and director are already talking about their plans for the sequel.

During an interview with SYFY Wire, Momoa revealed that he has already pitched an idea for a sequel with the filmmakers.

I definitely have an opinion,” Momoa said. “Even when we were shooting Aquaman, I have the opening of Aquaman 2 ready. I went in and pitched it to [producer Peter] Safran, and I pitched it to [Warner Bros. chairman] Toby Emmerich. They loved it. It’s awesome…But yeah, I have plans for Aquaman 2.”
