Aquaman Mattel Toy Reveals Arthur & Vulko’s Armored Sharks

As Warner Bros. and DC Films highly anticipated big-budget film, Aquaman, is just a couple of months away from release, the promotional and marketing campaign for the film is currently going on in full swing.

Recently, a picture of Mattel’s line of Aquaman action figures was spotted online featuring the titular hero and his mentor Vulko, along with their saddle-wearing hammerhead and great white sharks. The DC underwater superhero toy is donning the traditional orange-and-green comic look. The Aquaman toys are expected to hit the market shelves in early October.

Last week saw the release of a new Aquaman promotional image showcasing Arthur Curry (Jason Momoa) and Mera (Amber Heard) standing in a cave in front of a hologram projection of Atlantis ruler King Atlan.

The situation might be such that the two are trying to the find the hidden message from King Atlan to locate the Dead King’s missing Trident. The three-pronged weapon will play a major role in Arthur’s attempt to battle Orm for the kingdom’s throne. Well, a new TV spot was recently spotted online offering a small bit of new Patrick Wilson Orm footage.

Aquaman will see the half-human, half-Atlantean Arthur and Orm at odds over how to handle the surface dwellers. While Orm blames the surface dwellers for polluting the oceans for centuries and wants to unite the seven underwater kingdoms to declare war on the surface world, Arthur has a different approach. The film has received a PG-13 rating for its “sequences of sci-fi violent and action” and “language”.

Directed by James Wan, Aquaman stars Jason Momoa (Arthur Curry), Amber Heard (Mera), Patrick Wilson (Orm a.k.a. Ocean Master), Nicole Kidman (Queen Atlanna), Yahya Abdul-Mateen II (Black Manta), Willem Dafoe (Nuidis Vulko), Dolph Lundgren (Nereus) and Temuera Morrison (Thomas Curry).

The film is scheduled to hit theaters on December 21, 2018, in 3D and 2D and IMAX.
