Aquaman Prequel Novel Featuring A Young Arthur Curry Set For Release Later This Year

Warner Bros. has announced that DC Entertainment has joined hands with Harper Collins to roll out an Aquaman prequel novel that will focus on the adventures of a young Arthur Curry as well as a pictorial guide titled Aquaman: Arthur’s Guide to Atlantis.

The Aquaman: Undertow prequel novel will tell the story of a young Arthur who goes on a quest with his friend named Claudia to find out the truth about his Atlantean mother Atlanna, who abandoned him at the age of three, and about his homeworld Atlantis. The pictorial guide will give an insight into the amazing underwater world of Atlantis, reported Heroic Hollywood.

Notably, Aquaman is WB’s solo film lined up for release this year. So, the film studio will likely leave no stone unturned to make sure that the film gets a good response from the audiences.

Talking more about Aquaman, the film will mainly focus on the DC underwater superhero’s origin story explaining who Aquaman is, how his parents met, and why the Atlanteans didn’t allow his mom to stay on land. The movie’s official social media accounts recently shared the first motion poster for the film, which features both the hand-drawn as well as live-action iterations of the film’s promo art that was revealed at San Diego Comic-Con 2018. You can check out the motion poster below.

Directed by James Wan, Aquaman stars Jason Momoa as Arthur Curry, Amber Heard as Mera, Patrick Wilson playing Ocean Master, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II as Black Manta, Willem Dafoe as Nuidis Vulko, Dolph Lundgren as Nereus, Temuera Morrison as Thomas Curry, Nicole Kidman as Queen Atlanna, and Thomas Curry.
