Aquaman: Set Photos Reveal The Curry Lighthouse Under Construction

It looks like the upcoming SDCC hasn’t given the Aquaman film crew a free pass to take a break.  New photos from the set have revealed constructions taking place at the northern NSW holiday hotspot.

The news report comes from Gold Coast Bulletin with confirmation that the set currently under construction will portray the Curry lighthouse. Warner Bros. was able to get access to build and film at the Hasting Point headland thanks to Tweed Shire Council.  However, the team will be at the site for a period of eight weeks.

Director James Wan will be filming at the location sometime around next month for a total of three days. The construction would likely be completed by the time so readers can expect set photos of the Curry Lighthouse after the crew wraps up their filming.

For those unaware, The Curry Lighthouse is home to Tom Curry (Father of Aquaman) in the DC Universe. Kiwi actor Temuera Morrison is set to play the character and will be filming in the location as well. As of now, it hasn’t been revealed if Jason Momoa and the rest of the main cast would be present at the famous whale-watching spot for the filming.

It is likely that the casts playing young Arthur Curry could be present at the location. Moreover, Actress Nicole Kidman (playing as Queen Atlanna) could also be part of the filming in Hasting Point. But it hasn’t been confirmed yet.

Gold Coast Bulletin has also shared photos of the set being constructed on the hill at Hasting Point. It gives a glimpse of the view down the beach. Fans can also take a look at the construction site below.

Aquaman is scheduled to release on December 21st, 2018. Currently, fans are expecting to get their first early look at the film during the Warner Bros. presentation at San Diego Comic-Con.
