‘Aquaman’ Social Media Reactions Will Hit In End Of November

Aquaman has already created a lot of buzz among DC fans. The expectations for the film are quite high especially as it is the only DC film lined up for release this year. The amazing underwater action sequences teased in the trailers and promo clips are also compelling fans to pre-book their tickets for the film.

UPDATE: Social media reactions are out!

Fandango’s Managing Editor Erik Davis recently took to Twitter to announce that Aquaman’s first-day pre-sales have surpassed Sony’s Marvel film Venom, as well as Paramount’s Mission: Impossible – Fallout. Notably, fans buying tickets for Aquaman on Fandango with their VIP Accounts receive five free digital DC Comic books as gifts with ticket purchase.

The film has also become Atom Tickets’ top advance ticket seller ever in its first 24 hours, beating the previously 24-hour ticket sales record set by Marvel Studios’ Avengers: Infinity War earlier this year.

Davis also revealed the official embargo dates for Aquaman. The first social media reactions will be out on Monday, November 26, at 2 pm PT, while the full reviews will begin pouring in on Tuesday, December 11th, at 11 am PT.

Director James Wan recently revealed that almost 90 percent of the film is in IMAX aspect ration. The use of IMAX technology would mean that the movie will fill up the entire screen in theaters sans the black bars. Christopher Nolan’s 2008 Batman classic The Dark Knight and Zack Snyder’s Batman vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice and Justice League were also partially shot in an IMAX-friendly aspect ratio.

A new Aquaman TV spot has surfaced online teasing the half-human, half-Atlantean Arthur Curry’s epic battle with and his brother King Orm, aka Ocean Master, who wants to rage a war against the surface world.

Aquaman stars Jason Momoa as the DC underwater superhero with Amber Heard, Willem Dafoe, Patrick Wilson, Dolph Lundgren, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, and Nicole Kidman in supporting roles.

The film is set to arrive in US theatres on December 21.
