Aquaman: Update On Filming Schedule And Location, Jason Momoa Reveals How He Gets To Set The Tone In Standalone Film

Most of the stars cast in Aquaman have already arrived in Australia to kick-start it’s filming. But it was only revealed that the film crew would begin in the next few weeks.

Finally, we have an update on its filming schedule as well as the location. A report by The Courier Mail revealed that Aquaman is set to start its production this week at Village Roadshow Studios.

The news also puts a big smile on the Australians as it creates 600 job opportunities, bringing in more than $100 million for the local economy. Earlier, Thor: Ragnarok stepped up a notch creating 750 jobs but it amounted to the same $100 million.

By far, Aquaman only appeared as a cameo in 2016’s Batman v Superman. But recently, Momoa assured fans that he has done justice to the character after giving the world a glimpse of the Atlantian King in Justice League trailer.

In a recent interview with GQ, Momoa seemed confident in debuting Aquaman for the first time ever unlike other DC superheroes. “We’ve never really seen anything from this guy [Aquaman] before, so it’s fun to have a level playing field,” said Momoa. “There aren’t like four Aquamans before me. I get to set the tone for it.”

Aquaman is scheduled to release on December 21st, 2018. Recently, Black Manta was also confirmed for the standalone movie. The news came from Actor Yahya Abdul-Mateen 2 when he embraced playing the character on social media. Prior, fans will get to see the actor don as the Atlantian superhero in the upcoming Justice League releasing on November 17th.
