Colton Haynes’fan-favoritee character Roy Harper, also known as Arsenal is returning to Arrow. The actor will reprise his role for a short arc beginning in the latter half of the Season 6.

Roy Harper will be making his first appearance for Arrow Season 6 in episode 15. He will reunite with Thea for high stakes mission.

“We’re thrilled to announce that Colton Haynes will be reprising his role as Roy Harper for a short arc on Arrow this year. Roy is called back to Star City to help resolve an urgent matter with high stakes for the team. His short visit turns into something surprising when he reunites with Thea and sparks a change in both of their lives that will have long-lasting consequences…” Arrow Executive producers Marc Guggenheim and Wendy Mericle said in a statement as quoted by Collider.

Fans will remember that Colton Haynes exited the show in Season 3. His character left the team and Star City to begin a new life as Jason. He even gave up his Arsenal suit to Thea to realize her true powers as Speedy.

In Season 4, Roy Harper made a return for a single episode. Ever since he has been away from Star City. Not much is known about his storyline for Season 6. The network is yet to reveal the details. With Black Canary, Mr. Terrific and Mad Dog leaving the team, Oliver Queen definitely needs someone to rely on for his upcoming missions that involve dealing with Cayden James and a team of villains including Black Siren, Anatoly, and Vigilante.

Perhaps, the return of Roy Harper could shift some of the fans attention from the controversial Olicity marriage. The incident led Arrow fans to change the show’s subreddit focus to The Punisher.

Previously this week, Stephen Amell (Green Arrow/ Oliver Queen) teased Haynes return with a cryptic message on his official Facebook account.
