Arrow Season 7: Stephen Amell Gets Comic Book Accurate Green Arrow Look

After six seasons, Stephen Amell will be sporting a new look, a look closer to the comic book version of his character. The television version of Green Arrow will finally be getting his iconic goatee that he will be sporting in the highly anticipated Season 7.

Speaking at the Motor City Comic Con, Stephen Amell made the big announcement about his new look in Arrow Season 7.

Just because you’ve been polite, and just because everyone has been so nice to me today, I can break some news for you and let you know that in Season Seven I am going to debut the goatee,” Amell said as quoted by ComicBook. Refraining from revealing any plot details from the upcoming season, Amell only went on to talk about his new look.

For years, fans have been complaining about the dissimilarities in the comic version and the television version Green Arrow. Amell will now be fulfilling that gap but it may not last forever.

I can’t promise that I’m going to keep [the goatee] forever. I can definitely promise that I’m not going to wear the stupid hat,” he added.

Arrow Season 6 came to a surprising close last week. The finale featured a major showdown between the big bad Ricardo Diaz and Oliver Queen. Unfortunately, things don’t go as planned. Quentin Lance takes a bullet for Laurel and dies. Meanwhile, Oliver Queen surrenders to FBI and police after revealing his identity as Green Arrow. It was the part of the deal that he made with the PD in exchange for the immunity to the rest of the team Arrow.

Speaking to TV Line, Amell revealed that Season 7 will introduce “new storytelling technique” and he is “very excited about it.” Also, fans can expect the series to delve deeper into Longbow Hunters storyline.

The network is yet to reveal the Arrow Season 7 premiere date. Considering the previous seasons’ schedule, the CW series is expected to return sometime in October. Be sure to keep visiting Pursue News for more updates and information.
