Arrowverse Midseason Synopses Revealed: What To Expect From Arrow, The Flash And Supergirl

The CW Arrowverse shows are currently on winter hiatus. Fan-favourite Arrow, Supergirl, and The Flash are scheduled to resume its run in January 2018. Fans are looking forward to the midseason premieres for the three series. Meanwhile, the network has released synopses for the aforementioned shows revealing the plot details of the upcoming episodes.

On Jan. 15, 2018 Supergirl returns with Season 3 episode 10 titled “Legion of Super-Heroes.” As the name suggests, the episode will see the Legion member come together to fight Reign. The show is set to introduce Jesse Rath’s Brainiac-5. Here is the official synopsis for the upcoming Supergirl midseason premiere.

“Struggling to heal from her injuries inflicted by Reign, Supergirl remains in a dreamlike state, unable to be reached. Mon-El recruits one of the Legion members, Brainiac-5 (Defiance’s Jesse Rath), to try to bring her back. Meanwhile, Reign continues her rampage on the city so the DEO teams up with the Legion of Superheroes to try to stop her.”

The Flash returns Jan. 16, 2018 with Season 4 episode 10 “The Trial of the Flash” wherein, Barry Allen faces the murder charges in the court. His trial for Clifford DeVoe’s murder begins.

“As Barry’s trial for the murder of Clifford DeVoe begins, Iris and Joe must decide how far they are willing to go to keep Barry out of prison,” reads the official synopsis for The Flash midseason premiere.

Arrow Season 6 resumes its run with episode 10 titled “Divided” on Jan. 18, 2018. The series sees Oliver Queen team up with Felicity and Diggle to bring down Cayden James and his ally Black Siren. Their journey unravels a long-buried secret. The show will shed light on Dinah and Vince’s story, too. Read the full synopsis for Arrow midseason premiere, below.

“Despite losing half his team, Oliver remains confident that he, Felicity and Diggle can stop Cayden James and Black Siren However, when he discovers one of Cayden’s secrets, he decides to team up with an unlikely ally. Meanwhile, Dinah spends time with Vince.”

Perhaps, the return of Roy Harper could aid team Arrow in their battle against Cayden James. For now, we’ll have to wait till the release of its promo before speculating further.

While we know what to expect from Arrow, The Flash and Supergirl, the CW is yet to release plot details for DC’s Legends of Tomorrow. Arrowverse fans will have to wait a bit longer. The series will not air another episode until Feb. 12. Stay tuned to Pursue News for more updates and information.
