Avengers 2 Composer Danny Elfman To Score Justice League, Junkie XL Replaced!

Avengers 2 Composer Danny Elfman To Score Justice League, Junkie XL Replaced!

Warner Bros. yet again replaces another talented artist from Justice League. It has been announced that composer Tom Holkenborg a.k.a Junkie XL will no longer be part of the project as Danny Elfman takes over his place to score the DC film.

THR broke the unfortunate news and also revealed that Junkie XL has moved on to score Tomb Raider. As saddening its hear about his departure, the Batman v Superman composer is taking the changes well and is happy to have had the opportunity to work alongside Zack Snyder.

Holkenborg also gave a statement to THR in which he addressed the replacement as an incident that occurs commonly in Hollywood. Furthermore, the composer all gave his best wishes to the new composer and Director Joss Whedon for the ongoing filming and upcoming post-production work with Justice League.

Junkie XL himself has also confirmed his departure on Twitter. The Composer shared a screenshot of his statement to THR. Fans can check it out below.

While the replacement is disappointing to hear, fans must also note that composer Danny Elfman isn’t new to the superhero genre. Earlier, he also had the chance to work alongside Whedon in Avengers: Age of Ultron. As the two have had the opportunity to work in the past, we can only hope that they manage to wrap up successfully.

Elfman has also scored for DC Universe with the 1989’s Batman. The main theme for the Dark Knight was well received by the masses. Later, his works in several movies such as The Hulk was also acclaimed by fans.

Justice League is currently undergoing reshoots in London. The film hits theaters on November 17th.
