Earlier last week, it came to fans’ attention that the casting team for Avengers 4 were on the lookout for a body/butt double or in other words a photo double as part of their upcoming reshoots. The description posted by Central Casting suggested it was for none other than Black Widow played by Scarlett Johansson.
Now, a casting call for the same has appeared on Backstage and has provided a tiny new piece of information. For the reshoots, the project is being referred to as a feature film titled ‘Mary Lou’.
The measurements for the body double are precise stating they require a person whose “5,3″, 34C bra, dress size 6-8,”. But at the very beginning, it says they require a female between the age of 20-39 with “Long blonde hair”.
An earlier leaked promo art allegedly from Avengers 4 showed Natasha with her usual red hair but was certainly longer. But the new casting call suggests that Black Widow does grow out her hair but remains blonde.
It was suggested that Natasha goes blonde as part of her disguise to hide from the government due to the events that unfolded in Captain America: Civil War. But after what happens in Avengers: Infinity War, the world would be more concerned about Thanos’ actions rather than Natasha’s and the others who are in violation of the sokovia accords.
A lot of fans were excited to see Black Widow return to her red hair. but it looks like that might not be the case and the leaked promo photo in entirety could be in question.
It looks like reshoots with the body double will being on September 5th in Fayetteville, GA. Since filming is taking place in Atlanta, perhaps it’s possible to expect set photos as production is expected to last through October. Actors interested can still head over to the website and apply for the role.
