Avengers 4 Casting Call’s Funeral Scene Suggests a Major Death

Avengers 4, shooting in Atlanta has put out a casting call for background artists to enact a funeral scene in the movie. Speculations are rife that one of the important characters might have to pay the ultimate price of sacrificing their life.

Not much has been revealed about the plot of Avengers 4. However, a new casting call for the Avengers movie has got fans curious about the story and the probable turn of events in the film. The casting call from Central Georgia Casting posted this on Avengers 4 Facebook page:

Mourners: Looking for men and women over the age of 18, all ethnicities, to portray mourners. Especially looking for good character looks and expressive faces. This will be photo selected by the film’s directors! Size restrictions: Men no larger than 44 coat, women dress size 0-8. FOR NEW FACES ONLY! You cannot have worked on this project previously, or be booked on upcoming days. NO EXCEPTIONS!

This films Monday, October 23 in the Atlanta area. A mandatory fitting will be required in College Park from Wed 10/18 – Fri 10/20. MUST be available for BOTH fitting & filming!

It is not the first that the Marvel Cinematic Universe has held a funeral. This happened in Captain America: Civil War too where Agent Peggy Carter was laid to rest. Would it be another Avenger who would die? It remains to be seen.

Since the fight is against the big and bad Thanos (Josh Brolin) created by the Marvel Cinematic Universe, it is not surprising if certain key characters might die in the film. It is also possible that the mourning scene is for someone who died in its prequel Avengers: Infinity War.

Another supporting factor suggesting the possible death of a key member in the film is that few of the actors like Chris Evans (Captain America) and Robert Downey Jr.(Tony Stark) are nearing the end of their contract with MCU after Avengers 4.

Other movies of the Marvel Cinematic Universe expected to hit the theaters soon includes Thor: Ragnarok on November 2, 2017, Black Panther on February 16, 2018, Avengers: Infinity War on May 4, 2018, Ant-Man and the Wasp on July 6, 2018, Captain Marvel on March 8, 2019, the sequel to Spider-Man: Homecoming on July 5, 2019, and Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 in 2020. Avengers 4 movie is expected to hit the theaters on May 3, 2019
