Earlier this month, Joe and Anthony Russo confirmed the start of Avengers 4 reshoots in Atlanta. Since then a lot of actors have posted their pictures on social media donning their character suits.
Atlanta-based photographer, Atlanta Filming, has confirmed through his official Twitter handle that Elizabeth Olsen (Wanda/Scarlet Witch) and Pom Klementieff (Mantis) have arrived in Atlanta for the ongoing Avengers 4 reshoots.
The news has cheered up fans who were pretty disappointed with Avengers: Infinity War’s devastating climax, most of them assuming that the two characters will be resurrected in Avengers 4. To recall, in Avengers: Infinity War, Thanos’ deadly snap wiped out almost half of the universe including some of the Earth’s Mightiest Heroes- Spider-Man, Doctor Strange, Black Panther, Star-Lord, Drax, Mantis, and Scarlet Witch.
As the filmmakers are reiterating that some of the deaths shown in Infinity War will be permanent, fans are coming up with their own explanations to prove that at least some of the dead MCU characters will resurrect in the upcoming movie as time-traveling has been rumored to be a big part of it. Time travel is one of the most plausible theories that will likely undo all the damage done in the last Avengers film.
During a recent interview with Tulsa World, actor Sean Gunn, who plays Kraglin and also does mo-cap work for Rocket in Guardians of the Galaxy films, said that he is pretty confident that the final instalment is going to be a great movie, even better than Infinity War.
“I can tell you this,” Sean said. “I can tell you that the movie is going to be really excellent. We shot them originally pretty much back-to-back with a short break … and I like (‘Avengers 4’) even more than ‘Infinity War,’ at least from the script and from shooting it, and I was really happy with ‘Infinity War.’ So I’m very hopeful that it’s going to be a great movie.”
Fans are likely to see more of Elizabeth Olsen’ Scarlet Witch as there was an earlier report which stated that Disney plans on giving the character her own limited series.
The yet-to-be-titled Avengers 4 is set to arrive in theaters on May 3, 2019.
