Rumors about possible Avengers 4 title, storyline and plot have been making rounds for quite some time now and it won’t probably stop until the film hits theatres. Well, a recent rumor claims there will be a five years gap between Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers 4.
According to SuperBroMovies’ Daniel R, Avengers 4 will start five years after the devastating event of Infinity War which saw many of Earth’s Mightiest Heroes dusted away.
“Avengers 4 starts YEARS after Infinity War. Not just a few months later as some people were hoping for. Sorry guys,” Daniel’s first tweet read.
Daniel later confirmed in another tweet there will be a five-year gap between the two Marvel movies. The time difference is quite significant considering the fact that Avengers 4 will serve as the final film in the MCU Phase 3, and the conclusion to the 22 films that came before it.
Time travel is a popular theory rumored to help the surviving Avengers in bringing the fallen heroes back to life. However, a new theory coming from Reddit user meme_abstinent suggests that maybe the surviving Avengers won’t have to go back in time to bring back their fallen allies.
In the mid-credits scene of Ant-Man and The Wasp, we saw Scott Lang get trapped in the Quantum Realm as Hope van Dyne and her parents turned into dust. The new theory suggests that as Scott was trapped in the Quantum realm when Thanos snapped his fingers, he remained unaffected from the snap.
Furthermore, on observing closely it was found that when Scott was trying to reach Hope and the others, the background across the Realm got filled with orange orbs. Orange is the color of the Soul Stone, so there is a possibility that everyone’s souls are in the Quantum Realm with Scott.
The theory claims that the snap didn’t kill half of the universe’s population, rather transported them into the Soul World, from where they could be brought back in the upcoming Avengers film. Ant-Man is expected to play a major role in Avengers 4.
Avengers 4 is set to release in theaters on May 3, 2019.
