Jeremy Renner, who plays Hawkeye in the Marvel Cinematic Universe took to his Instagram page on Wednesday to announce that he has completed filming for his role in Avengers 4.
Jeremy Renner is done with the production of the biggest Avengers movies to date. The actor posted a short video outside of a trailer from the Avengers 4 set on his Instagram page along with the text:
“That’s a wrap for me on Avengers: Infinity Wars. Couldn’t be more excited to see how they put this together I’m very excited. I’m also excited to go home and see my baby.”
In the short video, Renner said, “So, this is not a goodbye, only a see you later.” Take a look at the video below.
Renner has mentioned in his post that he would be back and that we can assume that could be for re-shoots of Infinity War, referring to both films as Infinity Wars.
Hawkeye did not appear in the first trailer of Avengers: Infinity War. The purpose of keeping the character away as secret would be to protect Avengers 3 and 4.
Renner had earlier expressed an interest in a standalone Hawkeye film. but also revealed concern stating he hopes Marvel Studios don’t take too long to decide.
MCU have been especially very secretive about Renner’s role in their biggest production ever. The media and fans have got very little detail about the movie or his role in the film.
Marvel Studios began production work on Avengers 4 at the beginning of 2017. The Russo Brothers first finished shooting for the next two Avengers movies. Though both movies were initially set to be Infinity War Part 1 and Part 2, the films separated a little. Both titles were filmed back-to-back with Avengers: Infinity War wrapping production work in summer.
Then, the Russos Brothers, along with the cast and crew immediately plunged into the making of the untitled Avengers 4. Avengers: Infinity War will release in theaters on May 4, 2018, while Avengers 4 movie is scheduled to release on May 3, 2019.
The star-cast includes Robert Downey Jr., Chris Hemsworth, Chris Evans, Mark Ruffalo, Scarlett Johansson, Jeremy Renner, Paul Bettany, Elizabeth Olsen, Chris Pratt, Dave Bautista, Zoe Saldana, Bradley Cooper, Pom Klementieff, Vin Diesel, Karen Gillan, Tom Holland, Benedict Cumberbatch, Sebastian Stan, Paul Rudd, Cobie Smulders, Chadwick Boseman, Benedict Wong, Letitia Wright, Danai Gurira, Winston Duke, Hiroyuki Sanada, Tom Hiddleston, Benicio Del Toro, Tessa Thompson, Tom Vaughan-Lawlor, and Josh Brolin.
