Avengers 4 is currently undergoing reshoots in Atlanta. While Marvel Studios and the Russo Brother are trying their level best to keep everything under wraps. Fortunately, the film actors often take it to social media to post pictures from sets. Actor Jeremy Renner, who plays as Hawkeye, recently shared a picture on his Instagram account that hints at Clint Barton aka Bowman getting back into action in Avengers 4.
The picture shows a bruised and bloodied Renner in his Hawkeye avatar. The photo affirms that Barton is not going to be playing it safe in Avengers 4.
“Not every day begins the same…but always finish with a smile,” Renner captioned the photo. You can have a look at the picture below.
Hawkeye’s absence in Avengers: Infinity War disappointed a lot of fans. He was last seen in Captain America: Civil War, where he joined Caps team and chose to fight against the Sokovia Accords – an international treaty that would have brought the Avengers under the command of the United Nations.
At the end of Civil War, Barton manages to escape out of a high-security prison along with the rest of the team. It was revealed in Infinity War that he had negotiated a plea deal that allowed him to serve his sentence for resisting the Accords with his wife and children while in under house arrest after having finally officially retired as a S.H.I.E.L.D. agent-turned-Avenger. Hawkeye’s absence from the Infinity War wasn’t well received by his fans. Death threats were even sent to directors Anthony and Joe Russo blaming them for the superhero’s absence.
In a previous interview with USA Today, Renner had teased that his superhero character will have a large role to play in the upcoming Avengers film.
“Everybody’s got to bite their tongue. But if you like Infinity War, there’s some stuff to come,” Renner said. “What I do know is it’s going to be awesome.”
Rumors are that Renner will don the identity of superhero Ronin and not Hawkeye in Avengers 4. Well, we will get to know everything about the character when the film lands in theatres on May 3, 2019.
