Paul Bettany’s behind-the-screen photo that he posted on Instagram suggests that his character Vision that he essayed in Marvel’s Avengers 4, will survive the events of Avengers: Infinity War and be around for Avengers 4.
Paul Bettany posted a BTS photo of himself standing alongside one of the film’s crew members who was dressed in a hot dog suit. Bettany was clad in his full Vision costume, which included the VFX dots. The text alongside the photo reads:
“Poor Ryan was late to work today and is wearing the hotdog of shame.” Check out the photo below.
While it will be a relief for fans to know that Vision will be seen in Avengers 4, the visual effect dots that he is wearing might indicate something more.
Evangeline Lilly and Gwyneth Paltrow had a few days back shared a few pictures on social media, which now fans are using to speculate some sort of flashback sequence. Bettany’s costume which seems to include the Mind Stone supports this theory. It could be especially true since someone on Thanos’ side is shown taking the stone from Vision in the trailer of Avengers: Infinity War.
Though we do not know as yet, it is quite possible that Vision will get the Mindstone back by the time he enters Avengers 4. It could also be that Vision is not part of Avengers 4 events, but appears in a flashback sequence.
Avengers 4 will be the last film of the MCU in Phase 3. However, Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige has already spoken about their plans for 20 more films. Whether or not all of them will be materialized will depend on the final outcome of Avengers 3 and 4.
Avengers: Infinity War will hit the theaters on May 4, 2018, while Avengers 4 movie is expected to release on May 3, 2019.
