Its already been one month since the release of Avengers: Endgame and the movie is inching closer to beating Avatar’s worldwide box office record–to take the first spot. Since the spoiler-free period is long past gone, several Behind-the-scenes and hi-res stills from the film have begun surfacing online and today, we got a new look at none other than Spider-Man.
A new hi-res still uploaded on the Marvel Studios subreddit shows the friendly neighborhood Spider-Man moments away from being not so friendly as he’s about to switch ON the suit’s Instant Kill Mode. Fans would remember watching Spider-Man take on a horde of Outriders in the most brutal manner in the final battle against Thanos. The scene received quite the praise from the fandom since Spidey’s appearance was just kept for the final act similar to all the other dusted heroes from Infinity War.
Fortunately, Avengers: Endgame won’t be Spider-Man’s last time in donning the Iron Spider suit. The new trailer for Spider-Man: Far From Home released post Endgame had a lot of spoilers and one of the best giveaways was showing Spidey in the Iron Spider suit and stopping a bank robbery at ease.
In other Spidey news, a new Mysterio action figurine may have revealed and the description on the toy’s packaging states, “Mysterio is a master of illusion and a sworn enemy of Spider-Man.” You can find an image of the toy and the hi-res still below.
So far, the biggest question puzzling fans’ is Mysterio’s involvement in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. For reasons unknown, the character has been portrayed to be heroic and an ally to Spider-Man.
Nonetheless, long-time Spidey fans would know that Mysterio being on the side of good is nowhere close to the truth. However, it is possible that the filmmakers may have decided to change the characters’ arc to sort of an anti-villain or perhaps he might eventually become an antagonist at some point in the upcoming movie? we’ll know when Spider-Man Far From Home hits theaters on July 2.
