Avengers: Endgame Makes History With Opening Weekend Earning In India, Shatters All Bollywood Film Records

Avengers: Endgame box office estimates surprised not only the entire fandom but also critics and analysts likewise as the movie earned over $350 million domestically and $1.2 billion in total internationally on the opening weekend. The MCU film has already shattered several records internationally but its come to our attention that Endgame has also made a record-breaking blockbuster earning in India.

According to analyst Taran Adarsh, the opening weekend earnings for Avengers: Endgame in India writes history by earning over ₹53.10 cr. on Friday, ₹51.40 cr. on Saturday and ₹52.70 cr. on Sunday. In total, the movie grossed over ₹187.14 cr. (₹157.20 cr. net).

Avengers: Endgame stands atop of all Hindi film’s opening earnings. Furthermore, it currently holds the first spot as the biggest Hollywood opener till date.

Avengers: Endgame is currently being screened in over 2845 screens in India. It’s opening weekend earnings is 66.70% higher than Avengers: Infinity War opener earnings in India.

The movie’s earnings so far is unprecedented and amazing to witness since Bollywood titles usually release in 4000+ screens and none have managed to earn more than Endgame which released to half of those screens.

Avengers: Endgame has also been making quite the buck in other regions such as China. It seems like the movie might manage to cross the $3 billion mark.

The question on everyone’s mind is if the movie could dominate and come on top of Avatar’s earnings which stands at $2.7 billion. Infinity War collected a total of $2.048 billion.

Prior to going up against Avatar, Endgame will first have to step over Star Wars: The Force Awakens and Titanic’s earnings.

At the moment, Endgame has already topped its predecessors. The movie’s earnings have crossed the total earning of titles like Captain America: Civil War. Captain Marvel and more.

For now, the movie has no competition but as of May 10, Warner Bros.’ Pokemon: Detective Pikachu will pose as a tough contender at the box office.

Avengers: Endgame is currently in theaters.
