‘Avengers: Endgame’: Shazam! Director Wants To Know How Ant-Man Returns From Quantum Realm

The first Avengers: Endgame trailer ended with Scott Lang aka Ant-Man turning up on the surviving Avengers’ doorstep. In the trailer, Lang can be seen waving his arms around and asking Captain America to allow him to enter the makeshift Avengers headquarters.

Lang’s appearance in the trailer won’t be surprising to anyone who watched Ant-Man and the Wasp, which was released after Avengers: Infinity War. Ant-Man and the Wasp post-credits scene showed Ant-Man got stranded in the quantum realm as he loses contact with Hank Pym (Michael Douglas), Janet Van Dyne (Michelle Pfeiffer), Hope Van Dyne (Evangeline Lilly) who along with other people on Earth got wiped off following Thanos’ snap.

Now the one big question that is bothering fans is how Ant-Man managed to come out of the quantum realm. Well, Shazam! director David F. Sandberg is also among the ones who are eagerly waiting to know how Ant-Man came back.

Recently, when a fan asked Sandberg on Twitter which will be the first movie he will watch after Shazam! comes out to relax, he replied Avengers: Endgame. He added that he won’t be able to relax until he learns how Ant-Man escaped the quantum realm.

Avengers: Endgame. Can’t properly relax until I know how Ant-Man came back,” Sandberg’s tweet read.

Sandberg’s upcoming DC film Shazam! will focus on the story of a young foster teenager boy Billy Batson (Asher Angel) who gets the power to grow big into a superhero (Zachary Levi), all thanks to the magical powers granted to him by a wizard (Djimon Hounsou). The film touted to be the most light-hearted DC superhero movie ever made.

Shazam! also stars Jack Dylan Grazer (Freddy Freeman), Grace Fulton (Mary Bromfield), Ross Butler, Adam Brody, and Michelle Borth.

Shazam! is set to premiere in theatres on April 5, 2019, only a few days before Avengers: Endgame makes a debut on April 26, 2019.
