Here’s some good news for Avengers fans. Benedict Cumberbatch has teamed up with Omaze to run a campaign that will give fans a chance to share a cup of tea with Doctor Strange himself as well as attend the premiere of Avengers: Infinity War in Los Angeles.
To take part in the contest, fans will need to donate as little as $10, which will give them 100 entries. The winner of the contest will get two tickets to attend the world premiere of Marvel Studios’ Avengers: Infinity War. The winner will also get to stay in a 4-star hotel and drink tea and take selfies with Benedict Cumberbatch.
Depending on the donation amount, contributors will also get Doctor Strange DVDs signed by Benedict Cumberbatch as well as several signed Doctor Strange comics including a paperback edition of The Oath to Strange Tales #148,
Notably, all the proceeds raised from the contest will benefit the GEANCO foundation. The GEANCO organization works to provide healthcare and education facilities to people in Nigeria in a bid to save and transform lives in Africa. The donations raised will be used to provide scholarships to young female victims of terrorism and gender inequality, orthopedic surgeries to those in desperate need, and maternal and infant health programs.
Omaze has also released a video for the campaign which features Benedict Cumberbatch giving all the contest details in a very theatrical way. At the end of the video, you can see Cumberbatch performing his rendition of the popular children’s song, ‘I’m a Little Teapot.’ You can check out the campaign video below.
For those who want to meet their favorite Avengers stars, this is one unique chance to pull off your dream. You can head to Omaze’s website to get more details about the contest. The winners will be announced at a later date.
Avengers: Infinity War will land in theatres on May 4.
