Marvel Studios’ Avengers: Infinity War had all the elements required for a film to become a massive blockbuster hit. However, the dramatic end of the film left almost all the Marvel fans in shock seeing some of their favorite Earth’s Mightiest Heroes wiped out due to Thanos’ snap.
Now after almost two months of the film’s release, Marvel Studios has rolled out some great new Avengers: Infinity War concept art showcasing how some of the key scenes of the film were initially visualized. Certain pieces of the concept art (via CBM) highlight Knowhere, Nidavellir, Wakanda, and Thanos’ farm. Notably, some of the moments envisioned in the concept art were excluded from the final cut of the film including one that shows the God of Thunder battling with The Black Order, even as Thanos chokes the life from Loki.
There’s also one that shows the Black Order meeting in Thanos’ throne room. Another one shows Mad Titan’s face off with The Collector on Knowhere.
These pieces of concept art give fans an idea of how much work Marvel had put into the production of Avengers: Infinity War to make the film worth remembering. You can check out the concept art below.
In related news, there are reports that claim that Infinity War directors Anthony and Joe Russo are planning to release an extended edition of the film with almost 30 minutes of extra footage depicting everything about Thanos’s backstory.
While the Russo brothers had already shot Thano’s origin portion, they decided not to include it in the final cut of Avengers: Infinity War due to the timing issue. But, according to comic book writer Jim Starlin, the deleted scenes will be reintegrated into the actual film to make a special edition. Neither Marvel nor the Russo brothers have confirmed the news yet, so, it’s better to take it with a pinch of salt since there have also been tweets from other sources stating there’s no such thing as a Thanos cut with over 30 minutes of footage.
