Avengers: Infinity War Duracell Ad Shows Iron Man Confronting Thanos

It’s common for film studios to team up with big companies to promote their upcoming films. Marvel Studios is the latest in line to tie-up with companies to promote the upcoming Avengers: Infinity War. A new Duracell advertisement clip shows Iron Man confronting Thanos but it looks like the superhero isn’t charged up enough for his battle.

The ad shows a person putting Duracell batteries in an Iron Man toy as he gets the Armored Avenger ready for his battle against Mad Titan Thanos. You can check out the advertisement clip below.

As per recent reports, Marvel has also teamed up with partners such as Coca-Cola, Quicken Loans, Ziploc and Infiniti for Avengers: Infinity War.  The upcoming film is reported to have an estimated media value of around $150 million, which is more than that of Spider-Man: Homecoming ($140 million) and Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 ($80 million).

There are also reports claiming Chinese smartphone manufacturer OnePlus is planning to roll out a special edition OnePlus 6 device to promote Avengers: Infinity War. The upcoming OnePlus 6 Infinity War Edition will likely feature Avengers branding and a different color scheme than the normal edition.

The special edition smartphone is expected to feature 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal memory running on the Snapdragon 845 chipset. It is not yet confirmed if the Infinity War OnePlus 6 edition will be launched globally.

Another new Rocket Mortgage television commercial advertisement showed a glimpse of the New York battle between Marvel superheroes -Iron Man, Wong and Doctor Strange- and Thanos’s forces. It is a mix of actual movie footage and scenes shot for the ad.

Avengers: Infinity War directors Joe and Anthony Russo also recently revealed in an interview that the film is, essentially, a Thanos story.

“Thanos happens to believe what he is doing is right, and he behaves nobly towards that goal,” Joe Russo said. “But he will not stop until he achieves that goal because he believes that there is a weakness that stands between him and the completion of the goal.”

Avengers: Infinity War is releasing in theatres on April 27th.
