Marvel Studios president and producer Kevin Feige almost cried when he saw a live-action interpretation of Vision during his makeup tests for Avengers: Infinity War. Vision’s character made his big screen debut in Avengers: Age of Ultron by way of makeup and CGI enhancements. This will be the first time that the character will be shown in real life.
In an interview with HeyUGuys during a recent fan fest event, Paul Bettany, who portrays Vision, talked about Feige’s reaction to seeing him in Vision makeup for the first time.
“Kevin Feige, who, you know, runs the show — When I first came on set to do makeup tests for Vision, he kinda cried,” Bettany said. “You know, he’s a real fan.”
The actor admitted that he is quite excited and thrilled to watch Avengers: Infinity War. He said he wants to figure out what it is to be human and how Vision feels falling in love in the movie. You can check out the full interview video below.
In another interview with ComicBook.com that was held on the Avengers: Infinity War set last summer, Bettany explained that Marvel films are successful only because they are made by fans.
“I think the success of the Marvel films comes from the fact that they’re made by fans,” the actor said. “They really love those characters. When I first came out dressed as Vision, Kevin Feige nearly cried. I didn’t grow up reading comics but they make you fall in love with your character. They really do.”
Notably, some of the other actors who attended the Avengers: Infinity War fan fest event last weekend were Elizabeth Olsen (Scarlett Witch), Tom Hiddleston (Loki), Sebastian Stan (Winter Soldier), Tom Holland (Spiderman), Benedict Cumberbatch (Doctor Strange) and Letitia Wright (Shuri).
Avengers: Infinity War will hit theater screens on April 27, 2018.
