To celebrate a decade of moviemaking as well as the release of Avengers: Infinity War, Marvel Studio has released a featurette that shows the film studio’s remarkable journey starting from the release of 2008’s Iron Man. The video clip highlights the filmmakers, producers as well as actors who worked very hard to bring the Marvel Cinematic Universe to life, which is undoubtedly one of the most celebrated film franchises ever.
The video featurette begins with a 2008 interview of Iron Man director Jon Favreau conducted just before the film’s release. During the interview, Favreau seemed to be unsure if the film would be a big flop or a moderate single or something that would be beyond people’s expectations. Thankfully, the film as we all know turned out to be a massive hit paving way for other superhero comic book movies.
The video features Marvel Studios head Kevin Feige who is shown in the video discussing how the studio has been successful in bringing the thrill of reading Marvel comic books to the big screen. It also features Robert Downey Jr., Scarlett Johansson, Chris Patt, Chris Hemsworth, Chadwick Boseman and Elizabeth Olsen talking about their experiences working in the MCU films.
Hemsworth talked about the first Avengers film in the video clip. He says it was viscerally awesome to see the MCU characters together on the big screen. Scarlett said that she is thankful to the audiences for appreciating her work as Black Widow from the very first film. The clip also has a footage of the actress trying on the Black Widow suit and it seems to be her first time donning the costume.
The featurette shows some behind-the-scenes video footage of the actors enjoying the production of their films, including Chris Pratt’s dance-off from Guardians of the Galaxy. It also teases the Avengers: Infinity War release which is just a week away. You can check out the video below.
