Guardians of the Galaxy director James Gunn is all gaga over the upcoming Marvel Studio film, Avengers: Infinity War. Gunn who is currently busy working on Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, is also an executive producer for Infinity War. He also helped the director-duo brothers with the Guardians characters featured in the movie.
After getting to see the full cut of The Russo Brothers’ film Avengers: Infinity War for the first time, Gunn wasted no time and took to Twitter to share his initial reaction to the film. He described Infinity War as “INCREDIBLE.”
“Wow!!!! And that’s all I’ll say for the time being,” the Guardians of the Galaxy director added.
Other than James Gunn, the Russo Brothers have also taken help from other fellow MCU directors including Ryan Coogler, Taika Waititi, Ant-Man and the Wasp’s Peyton Reed, and Doctor Strange’s Scott Derrickson to bring all of the different characters from the MCU together for Infinity War. In fact, in an interview with Screen Rant, Anthony Russo described their work with the other directors as a “real collaborative united artists approach” to making Avengers: Infinity War.
Gunn has already announced that his next, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3, will take place after the next two Avengers movies and the film will help to set up the next 10, 20 years of Marvel movies. He has hinted that the film will land in 2020 that would put it in the early stages of Phase Four, following after 2019’s Spider-Man: Homecoming sequel.
Notably, Gunn isn’t the only one who has praised the upcoming Marvel film. Josh Brolin, the actor who is portraying the character of Mad Titan Thanos in the film, has seen 30 minutes of the film and described it as amazing.
Avengers: Infinity War is just one month away from its official April 27th release date.
