The heart-wrenching ending of Avengers: Infinity War almost left everyone in tears. It was pretty tough for Marvel fans to watch some of their favorite MCU characters including Spider-Man, Doctor Strange, Black Panther, Scarlet Witch, Star-Lord, Groot, Drax, and Mantis disappear into dust after Thanos’ devastating snap.
Rocket (Bradley Cooper) is now the only one from the Guardians of the Galaxy group, except Nebula, who has survived the snap. Rocket got a big shock looking at Groot disappear as he realized that he has lost his best friend once again. Avengers: Infinity War’s ending marked the second death for Groot (Vin Diesel).
Artist BossLogic’s new artwork has gotten fans even more emotional as it shows Rocket Raccoon trying to regrow Groot. Rocket can be seen planting Groot’s ashes into a flower pot in hopes of growing his buddy back.

Notably, Rocket and Groot share a very affectionate relationship with each other. Rocket is the one who translates Groot’s “I am Groot” lines which are otherwise not understandable by others. Last month, when a fan asked Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 director James Gunn to explain what Groot’s last “I am Groot” meant, he revealed that Groot’s final line before disappearing referred to Rocket as “Dad.”
Fans are hoping they will get to see more of Groot’s father-son dynamic with Rocket in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 which will premiere in 2020. Gunn has already confirmed that Guardians of the upcoming film will be the last iteration of this Guardians team.
Talking more about Avengers: Infinity War, the Anthony and Joe Russo directed film has reportedly hit $660 million at the domestic box office, surpassing the $657 million earned by Justice League worldwide. The film has become the fourth-highest domestic earner of all time.
Avengers: Infinity War is currently running in theatres.
