‘Avengers: Infinity War’- Thank James Gunn For Drax’s Invisible Scene

When it comes to talking about Avengers: Infinity War, the film had a lot of hilarious moments especially those featuring Guardians of the Galaxy member Drax. There were a couple scenes in the movie featuring Drax which brought a big smile on the audiences’ face including the one in which the character claims to have remained so still that he becomes invisible.

Actor Dave Bautista recently revealed on social media that it was Guardians of the Galaxy writer/director James Gunn who wrote the hilarious invisible Drax scene in Avengers: Infinity War.

During a fan Q&A on GameSpot Universe’s Twitter, a fan asked Bautista how long Drax can remain invisible. The actor jokingly replied that his character could stay invisible as long as James Gunn wanted him to.

There’s no telling how long Drax can stay invisible,” Bautista explained. “But I have to say, James Gunn wrote that whole bit. It came from his twisted, sick imagination. So I have to say Drax could stay invisible as long as James Gunn wanted him to stay invisible.”

You can check out the interview video below.

Avengers: Infinity War writers Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely had confirmed during a previous interview that they took help and guidance from Gunn to improvise on the scenes featuring Guardians of the Galaxy members.

The writers also revealed how Bautista improvised his own dialogues to make sure it matches his character’s nature. Bautista’s one-liner that broke the tension during a heated standoff between Iron Man and Star-Lord on the planet Titan was improvised by the actor himself. Drax’s mention of Gamora during the scene got the two superheroes off track.

Bautista’s Drax disappeared into dust after Thanos snapped his fingers at the end of Avengers: Infinity War.  Thankfully, the actor has confirmed in a recent interview that he will be back for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 as well as Avengers 4. However, he did mention that he has no clue how the Avengers 4 writers will bring his character back to life.
