Avengers: Infinity War is one of the highly awaited films of 2018. The character toys, Funko pops and other promotional merchandise for the film have already flooded the market. A new batch of toys for Avengers: Infinity War have been spotted online, which includes Thor’s new weapon, the axe/hammer hybrid Stormbreaker, and the fully assembled Infinity Gauntlet that Thanos is likely to get his hands on.
From the looks of it, Thor’s weapon, the Stormbreaker handle/hilt seems to be made from Groot’s body. The part that wraps the Axe/hammer’s head also seems to be wrapped with Groot’s branch. It was earlier also speculated that Thor would put together his new weapon with help from Rocket and Groot.
Talking about Thor’s weapon, the God of Thunder lost his iconic weapon, Mjolnir, while fighting with Hela in Thor: Ragnarok. So, it was expected that Chris Hemsworth’s Thor would get a brand-new weapon in Avengers: Infinity War. Stormbreaker was recently revealed to be the name of Thor’s new weapon. Notably, Stormbreaker has not yet appeared in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The weapon originally belongs to Thor’s ally, Beta Ray Bill.
Thanos has an Infinity Gauntlet which has six infinity gems attached to it. Each Gem grants its bearer complete mastery over one aspect of the universe: Time, Space, Mind, Soul, Reality, and Power. In Avengers: Infinity War, the fan-favorite superheroes will be seen battling as a team against Marvel’s super-villain Thanos as he attempts to secure the Infinity Stones.
The newly unveiled Infinity Gauntlet toy will make noise and light up and is also expected to have sound clips of Josh Brolin as the Mad Titan Thanos.
As the new Marvel Studios epic is inching closer to its release, fans should start to expect to see a lot more promotional merchandise and toys fill market shelves.
Directed by Anthony and Joe Russo, Avengers: Infinity War will hit theatre screens on May 4, 2018. Fans will get to see 76 popular Marvel Universe characters in the film including Robert Downey Jr. (Iron Man), Chris Hemsworth (Thor), Chris Evans (Captain America), Chadwick Boseman (Black Panther), Mark Ruffalo (Hulk), Jeremy Renner (Hawkeye), Tom Holland (Spider-Man), Scarlett Johansson (Black Widow), and Paul Rudd (Ant-Man).
