Marvel Studios has rolled out a brand new Avengers: Infinity War TV promo that spotlights Peter Parker a.k.a. Spiderman’s new Iron Spider suit in action. The Iron Spider costume has previously made an appearance in the 2007 Marvel comic book event Civil War.
The Iron Spider armor first appeared on the big screen at the end of Spider-Man: Homecoming, when Tony Stark/Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.) offers it to Peter and asks him to join the Avengers full time, which the web-slinger turns down. But now it looks like Thanos’ looming threat has forced Peter to join the superheroes league to save the world. You can check out the new Avengers: Infinity War TV promo below.
During a recent Avengers: Infinity War fan fest event, Tom Holland who portrays Spider-man explained how things have changed for Peter in the course of time between the two films- Spider-Man: Homecoming and Avengers: Infinity War.
“A lot. A lot has changed,” Holland said while speaking with Hey U Guys. “He is taking on something that is bigger than any of the Avengers could possibly have imagined from the beginning of the MCU so you can imagine he’s a little bit out of his depth but as Peter Parker always does he figures out a way to try.”
Holland also said that he thinks that Spider-Man is now an official part of the Avengers team.
“I think he is, yeah. I think he is now officially an Avenger,” the actor said.
Notably, in the upcoming Marvel film, Spider-Man will be seen spending most of his onscreen time with Chris Pratt’s Star-Lord, the Guardians of the Galaxy leader. The actor had nothing but praises about his experience of working with his co-star Patt.
Fans will get to see Spiderman in action when Avengers: Infinity War releases in theaters on April 27th.
