Avengers: Infinity War- Watch Drax’s Comedic Scene Involving Gamora

Marvel Studios’ Avengers: Infinity War has all the elements that a blockbuster film needs to have namely action, thrill, suspense, emotions and even comedy. Although the film has a lot of heart-wrenching dramatic war scenes and emotional scenes between Vision and Scarlet Witch, there are also some light-hearted moments that brought smiles to the audiences’ faces. The studio has now released one of Avengers: Infinity War’s funniest scenes online.

The scene in question takes place on Thanos’ planet Titan where, when Peter Quill/Star-Lord asks Tony Stark/Iron Man where Gamora is and he replies back asking “who is Gamora,” Drax chimes in between with his perfectly timed one-liner, “I’ll do you one better. Why is Gamora?” You can check out the scene below.

Avengers: Infinity War screenwriters Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely recently revealed during an interview that actor Dave Bautista, who portrays the MCU character of the giant man Drax, improvised the one-liner himself.

The script only said, ‘Where is Gamora?’ ‘I’ll do you even better: Who is Gamora?’ And then one day Bautista just goes, ‘I’ll do you one better: Why is Gamora?’” Markus told Yahoo. “It’s like, ‘OK, you’re very good at your job.’”

Bautista has managed to stay in the spotlight by playing Drax with the right amount of humor since his first appearance in Guardians of the Galaxy. Though the character was one of the heroes who died at the end of Avengers: Infinity War, fans can rest assured that he will be one among the heroes that are expected to be brought back to life in Avengers 4.

Hopefully, fans will get to see Drax deliver more comedic lines in the upcoming fourth installment as well.

Avengers: Infinity War has reportedly garnered a global total of $1.665 billion in mere over three weeks of release. The film is soon expected to join the elite club of Avatar, The Force Awakens, and Titanic movies which have passed the whopping $2 billion mark at the box office.
