‘Batman Ninja’ Anime Trailer Transports The Dark Knight To Middle Ages Japan

The theatrical trailer of Warner Bros. Japan’s upcoming anime movie Batman Ninja just went live a while ago, and it has already sent the internet in frenzy.

Warner Bros. released two new ‘Batman Ninja’ Anime Trailer, both of which are equally enticing. While the first trailer has English subtitles and was screened at New York Comic-Con, the second trailer does not include English subtitles and includes several different footages.

DC Comics Batman Ninja Anime Trailer transports the Dark Knight to Japan in the middle ages where you will witness the Caped Crusader fight The Joker. While Hollywood is witness to Batman’s onscreen adventures in animated as well as live-action realms, fans will get to see how Japan brings something refreshing and original to its audiences.

The Batman Ninja trailer, which you can watch below, follows Bruce Wayne as he goes back in time to feudal Japan. In the teaser, you will see the Dark Knight confronting the Joker as always. Suddenly, he is taken back to the olden days. As per the trailer, the Joker and Harley Quinn have accompanied Bruce on his journey. Batman has a few friends to help him around. The Dark Knight is also shown wearing a samurai gear.

Compared to what we got to see in this year’s Batman and Harley animated movie, fans are in for a surprise with Batman Ninja going by its new trailer.

Batman’s friends in Japan include Catwoman, Robin, Nightwing, and Alfred. There’s also Two-Face, The Penguin, and Poison Ivy on the other side. Gorilla Grodd is the feudal lord now and dons a very elegant and classy outfit.

Batman Ninja is a highly anticipated film and fans have been waiting for the trailer ever since the project was announced at New York Comic Con this year by Junpei Mizusaki, Takashi Okazashi, and Kazuki Nakashima.

Warner Bros. will include the Japanese version of the Batman Ninja as well as the English dubbed version when it finally releases to home video next year. While some might be of the opinion that placing Batman in a completely old and new setting is a risk, it seems from the trailers that fans will be drawn towards the film. If it does well, fans can perhaps expect more anime projects from WB Japan.

Batman Ninja is expected to hit the theaters in 2018.
