Birds Of Prey: John Wick Movie’s 2 Stunt Coordinators Roped In For DC Film

Warner Bros and DC Film’s highly anticipated Birds of Prey movie is finally taking good shape. A new report claims Cathy Yan’s Suicide Squad spinoff title has added John Wick fame stunt coordinator Jonathan Eusebio and fight coordinator Jon Valera.

According to HN Entertainment, both Eusebio and Valera are members of John Wick co-directors Chad Stahleski and David Leitch’s stunt company, 87Eleven Action Design.

Eusebio has worked as a fight coordinator on all three John Wick films. His credits also include Black Panther, Deadpool 2, The Avengers, The Fate of The Furious, and The Wolverine. Valera has served as a fight coordinator on Aquaman, Atomic Blonde, Creed II, John Wick, John Wick 3, and Thor: Ragnarok.

The news of John Wick alums joining Birds of Prey is surely going to excite fans as it assures a high standard level of fight scenes they can expect from the all-female team-up movie.

Similar to John Wick, Birds Of Prey has also been hinted to most likely be an R-rated movie. If so, the fight and action sequences would surely be brutal and exciting for fans to experience.

During a recent interview with Bionic Buzz, actress Mary Elizabeth Winstead, who has been roped in to play Huntress in Birds of Prey, confirmed that the movie will go on floors in January next year. She explained the Suicide Squad spinoff movie will follow Harley Quinn who puts together a girl gang of other DC Comics heroines Black Canary, Huntress, and Renee Montoya.

It’s sort of a spinoff of Suicide Squad,” Winstead said. “It kind of follows Harley Quinn, which is Margot Robbie’s character from those films, and this sort of girl gang that she puts together. I play Huntress, and we’ve got Black Canary, played by Jurnee Smollett-Bell, and Rosie Perez and Ewan McGregor. It’s a really fun, fun cast. We haven’t started shooting yet, but we start shooting in January, and I can’t wait.”

Directed by Cathy Yan from a script by Bumblebee’s Christina Hodson, Birds of Prey stars Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn, Jurnee Smollett-Bell as Black Canary, Mary Elizabeth Winstead as Huntress, and Rosie Perez as Renee Montoya, Ella Jay Basco as Cassandra Cain and Ewan McGregor as the villainous Black Mask

Birds of Prey is set to hit theaters on February 7, 2020.
