Dwayne Johnson has gotten his feedback for Black Adam movie from test screening audiences and reactions from the crowd say it all, especially when The Rock asks attendees for their remark on “the end” of the film. Some DC fans are convinced it was a hint at Man of Steel’s cameo, as speculations are riff about Henry Cavill’s appearance.
The marketing push for Black Adam is in full swing with Warner Bros. and Seven Bucks Production on a mission to get the DC Film’s merchandise to every corner of the world. In addition, DJ is doing his bit to get audiences hyped for the upcoming DC Extended Universe flick.
Recently, the 50-year-old star shared a video from the screening of Black Adam in which he explains it’s a process to “get the critical feedback from my number one boss: you guys, the audience.” Johnson has been quite active on social media lately, enough to even offer clarification on the select few audiences he chose for personal interaction, as seen in the below video.

For context, I quietly enter the theater when lights go dark and sit in the last row and watch #BlackAdam w/ 400+ people. When the movie ends, we distill the focus group down to this intimate yet effective size for discussions. One of my fav parts of the process. #AudienceFirst https://t.co/r5n1rfttDF

It’s not the only promotional content that’s got Black Adam on the trending topics of Twitter. Full body character images of JSA (Justice League Society of America) were also released showcasing Dr. Fate (Pierce Brosnan), Hawkman (Aldis Hodge), Atom Smasher (Noah Centineo) and Teth Adam. Moreover, a preview still was released (via USA Today) showing the titular antihero with a menacing look and the yellow thunderbolt insignia glowing red.
The promos are doing the rounds on social media as more and more cinephiles are drawn toward the upcoming standalone featurẹ. Furthermore, rumors about Cavill’s Superman appearing in the third act have drawn in Snyderverse fans as well. Currently, all eyes are on the upcoming second trailer set to release during Thursday Night Football, September 8.
By far, Black Adam is one of the very few DC titles that WBD’s David Zaslav and execs are hoping to flesh out so there are already hopes to see the JSA members explored in possible spin-offs. With producer Dan Lin no longer pursued for the DC Film and TV head role, it will be interesting to see the future DCEU chief’s game plan for these golden age DC heroes.
Black Adam will hit theatres on October 21.
