Black Adam – Peacemaker’s Emilia Harcourt meets Dr. Fate in a new image, Teth-Adam argues with Hawkman in promo

A BTS image from Black Adam has revealed Emilia Harcourt (Jennifer Holland) from the Peacemaker series will appear at some point in the Dwayne Johnson starrer DC film. This confirms characters from James Gunn’s The Suicide Squad universe playing a role in the larger superhero affairs of the DCEU.

With promotions ramped up for Black Adam, more new teasers and TV spots are gracing fans on social media. But this particular image was a surprising treat as it reveals Peacemaker’s Harcourt wearing a black long leather coat and it seems her character will be interacting with Dr. Fate and Hawkman.

This officially makes her the third DCEU character to cameo, considering Viola Davis’ Amanda Waller was revealed in the trailers and recent insider info has assured Superman’s (Henry Cavill) appearance as well. Readers can check it out below.

Black Adam has come under scrutiny among some fans for allegedly ignoring continuity since a rumor mill from an accurate source revealed that the JSA’s debut is not addressed in the movie. However, with the inclusion of Harcourt, it seems a plan is in motion to keep recent DC Extended Universe titles connected, at least with The Suicide Squad franchise. In fact, Shazam! Fury of the Gods is also doing its part by including a Wonder Woman appearance.

So far, it’s only been noted that Black Adam takes place in the present day of DCEU but an exact timeline has not been mentioned. If the events of Kahndaq take place after Peacemaker season 1, it remains to be seen if Gunn could address the movie in the upcoming season 2.

It should be noted that an earlier report revealed Johnson had pitched a crossover event movie as a Black Adam vs. Justice League and The Suicide Squad. With the upcoming movie involving more characters from the Task Force X franchise, it does not seem like a far-fetched idea. And in more Black Adam news, a new clip shows the super-powered Mighty Adam working with the JSA though Hawkman has his own disagreement with the anti-hero or like he’d like to call him, the “villain”. But Teth-Adam sets the record straight.

Black Adam will release in theaters on October 21.
