Black Adam teaser – Fans praise Dwayne Johnson for removing Josstice League scene, “corrected” version reveals DCEU’s trinity Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman & more

The latest Black Adam promo has Snyderverse fans praising Dwayne Johnson for removing a Josstice League scene. In addition, the teaser’s inclusion of DCEU’s trinity namely Henry Cavill’s Superman, Ben Affleck’s Batman and Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot) with Aquaman (Jason Momoa) also in the mix has the larger fanbase hopeful to witness the first interconnected DC flick honoring past titles.

5000 years ago, Black Adam had already changed the hierarchy of the DC Universe, before the age of heroes and villains was at play, when neither the Man of Steel nor the Dark Knight existed. And that is the highlight of the recent teaser titled “Legacy”.  However, the first version of the teaser was caught in controversy for including a shot of 2017’s Justice league featuring Steppenwolf instead of scenes from Zack Snyder’s Justice League.

The teaser released by Johnson was quickly removed after immense backlash from Snyder fans. A surprising move and on top of that, The Rock shared the new teaser again but by acknowledging fans’ input to remove the brief Steppenwolf shot and instead tweeted the “Corrected”  version.

While the Snyderverse fandom has taken it as a good sign, some still believe the studio discards ZSJL since it views the 2017’s theatrical version as canon. Many shared their version of the teaser with shots of the ensemble and Darkseid from the director’s cut. Moreover, the promo shows a headless Superman following the same tradition as Peacemaker, casting doubt on Cavill’s participation. Readers can check out fans’ reactions below.

On the bright side, Harley Quinn is embraced as DC’s villain and it shouldn’t come as surprise since The Suicide Squad director James Gunn also confirmed the character’s future appearance. At the moment, Viola Davis’ Amanda Waller is the only character appearing in a full-fledged capacity from the original DCEU arc.

Johnson has actively participated in Black Adam’s marketing strategy via his company Seven Bucks Production. The actor has been quite active on social media, sharing artworks of the JSA and even teasing the internet with the first audience reaction from the test screening. With just a month away from its premiere, no wonder Warner Bros. Discovery and the titular star are avoiding any room for error that could potentially hurt box office projections.

Black Adam hits theatres on October 21.
