Black Panther Home Video Release Post Avengers: Infinity War Premiere

After reining the world box office, Marvel Studios’ successful Black Panther is all set for its home video release. The film studio has announced that Black Panther will be rolled out on iTunes, Amazon, and other online services as early as May 8 before being made available on Blu-ray and DVD one week later on May 15. So, MCU fans will be able to purchase the movie less than two weeks after the highly awaited premiere of Avengers: Infinity War.

Marvel has also released a brand new Black Panther trailer to celebrate the film’s home video release announcement. You can check out the trailer below.

In term of box office collections, the first ever black superhero film has already grossed around $1.3 billion globally since its mid-February release. Over the weekend, it crossed 1997’s Titanic to become the third-top-earning US film ever. The film is soon expected to surpass Star Wars: The Last Jedi at $1.33 billion.

However, the latest Marvel Studios blockbuster still sits behind a couple of Marvel films including The Avengers at $1.51 billion and Avengers: Age of Ultron at $1.4 billion. It has already sailed past Iron Man 3 at $1.21 billion and Captain America: Civil War at $1.15 billion. The Ryan Coogler-directed superhero movie Black Panther stars Chadwick Boseman, Michael B. Jordan, Lupita Nyong’o and Angela Bassett in lead roles.

Fans will soon be able to see their black superhero in action once again in Avengers: Infinity War. Chadwick Boseman’s Black Panther will join the Avengers in their quest to stop Mad Titan Thanos from collecting all the Infinity Stones.

It was also revealed that the final stance by Earth forces will be taking place in Wakanda and the nation’s entire army assemble to fight the threat.

Black Panther’s Shuri also has a prominent role in the threequel and fans have already seen a glimpse of the character from the trailer.

Black Panther is now playing in theaters, while Avengers: Infinity War will be released on April 27th.
