Earlier yesterday, fans were surprised with an excitement announcement that Black Panther teaser trailer was to debut during the NBA Finals on ABC. Since then, the Marvel crowd have been hyped to witness a new dark and gritty world in the cinematic universe. However, it hasn’t entirely been a win-win situation for the studio.
Prior to the announcement, the Marvel fans were teased with an official poster featuring the King of Wakanda, T’Challa seated on the throne wearing his Vibranium suit. Unfortunately, the poster did the opposite of exciting the fans for the upcoming trailer reveal.
The official poster received immense backlash from fans and was rather considered a disappointment. Fans on Twitter and Facebook reacted by sharing fan-made posters which were quite impressive than the official version.
Illustrator BossLogic shared his version of the poster which replaces the right half of the throne with a mighty Black Panther. Since then, Fans and the media have been hailing the fan-made poster to be better than the original.
Fortunately, the teaser trailer was far more impressive than the official poster. The promo video gives fans their first look at Michael B. Jordan as Erik Killmonger, Lupita Nyong’o as Nakia and Forest Whitaker as Zuri.
Andy Serkis has also reprised his role as Ulysses Klaue in the Black Panther. This would be the actor’s second appearance as the villain in Marvel Cinematic Universe.
The teaser trailer also gives fans glimpses of the City of Wakanda which truly looks aesthetic. Furthermore, viewers are also teased with brutal fight sequences featuring T’Challa and Erik Killmonger. Fans can check out the teaser trailer below.
